I enjoy and thrive in the convergence of analog and digital that has become modern photography. Blending the traditional art of capturing the “decisive moment” on my digital camera with the modern digital darkroom of my laptop and digital editing software. The relentless search for that next unique moment and capturing it for eternity with the click of the shutter button. When it works it's because of my amazing photographic skills that I have honed through the years, if it does not work I simply "Blame the Camera". :>)
I was born and lived most of my life in Southern California, where my wife and I raised our two sons. My wife and I are now living and working in Sydney, Australia. We are enjoying this new journey in our lives and the opportunity of exploring an entirely new part of the world.
I started with film photography in high school, developing my own film and prints. I then went away from photography for many years, pursuing my career and other passion in technology. Many years later the early introduction of digital photography drew me back as my two passions collided with each other in the digital darkroom.
Today my chosen tools of the trade are Leica cameras and lenses, where I find the simplistic design and analog feel of the experience so inspiring. The reality is that there are so many amazing cameras and lenses on the market, but personally the Leica experience inspires me to get off the couch in pursuit of that next great picture.
